Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about how Friendsboard works for your group.

A shared space for friends, family, or colleagues to collect recommendations and ideas—books, podcasts, places, apps, and more—on a board made of topic cards and short posts we call scribbles.

Only members of that board can add scribbles. Public boards can be read by visitors, but posting still requires an account and membership (or an invite).

Each board has notes—topic cards like Books, Food, or Travel tips. Board admins can show or hide default topics and approve custom topics suggested by members.

Admins can invite by email or share an invite link. If someone isn’t registered yet, they can create an account and then accept the invite with the same email or token flow.

Private boards are only visible to members. Public boards are readable by anyone with the link, but membership is still required to contribute. See our Privacy policy for details.
